Hello, everyone.

I said that I would be making a big announcement on twitter a while ago. I was planning on posting, but because of needed preparations that needed to be taken care of, paperwork, and other things, I kind of pushed back the date for the blog post. Anyway, here’s the deal:

I’m going to South Korea for six months to work in an elementary school!

Time for another journey!

That’s right, everyone! I am going to South Korea, the magical land of K-pop, grilled meat, and many other fun things!
The thing is, I’m not actually super excited right now – it doesn’t feel real yet for some reason. Even though I’ve already got my plane ticket and visa, I don’t feel like the excitement will kick in until I’m finally on my flight. Goodness me.

Hopefully while I’m in Korea, I’ll have the opportunity to do a lot of exploring. I really hope I’ll get a chance to go see the demilitarized zone, since I’ve consumed so much reading material regarding North Korea, it’s always been something I’ve been interested in. Granted, my parents might not be too happy about it, but we’ll see~

Also, I really hope that I’ll be able to go to Japan during my week-long vacation! Round trips from Korea to Japan are around….$200~$400 or so right now, so I’m hoping prices don’t increase too much. Going to Japan has been my dream since I was twelve years old, so if I could manage it…oh man, I would be jumping up and down with joy, guys. You have no idea.

So yeah! That’s that. I will be posting more this month before I leave (should I do a “what’s in my bag” post? Haha.)
